This LP was number 32 on Billboard’s Hot LP charts on September 20th 1959, it remained on the charts for 8 weeks. This album had no new material, but this is the first time any of these songs had been released on an album before. The original release had a gatefold cover with pictures of Elvis leaving for Germany in his uniform and a 1960 calendar on the back with a ring around Elvis' presumed release date.

This LP was also released in the UK in July 1959 on RCA label (RCA RD 27128), the track list differs on this UK release, it reached number 4 on the charts.
